The biodiversity of Moimenta da Beira is unique and manifests itself in the multiple ecosystems inhabited by fauna and flora in the riverside area of the Paiva River.
Likewise, the heritage elements visible in the landscape are particularly prominent, whether monumental in character or based on the daily lives of the people of this territory, such as megalithic monuments, castros, geomonuments, or the diverse religious and civil architecture.
The Paiva Route is assisted by ecological and approved signage and explanatory panels.
It uses traditional routes, paths and trails, which enhance the passage through points and places of tourist and cultural interest, leading to its (re)discovery through privileged contact with the cultural, heritage and natural reality of the territory.
