or\u00edgenes parecen esconderse en el lugar de Covais, donde se encontraron vestigios de una villa tardorromana.<\/p><p>La Edad Media dej\u00f3 en Soutosa una magn\u00edfica necr\u00f3polis en Casal dos Moiros, con numerosas sepulturas excavadas en la roca, que podr\u00edan datar del siglo XI\/XII.<\/p><p>En t\u00e9rminos culturales, Soutosa se encuentra \u00edntimamente ligada a Aquilino Ribeiro, que retrat\u00f3 fielmente su patrimonio natural y cultural, inmortalizando para siempre esta poblaci\u00f3n en la literatura portuguesa. En la propiedad donde vivi\u00f3 y escribi\u00f3 el ilustre escritor, hoy perteneciente a la Fundaci\u00f3n Aquilino Ribeiro, se encuentra instalada la Casa-Museo, clasificada como Inmueble de Inter\u00e9s P\u00fablico.<\/p><p>Como consecuencia de las diversas reorganizaciones territoriales, Soutosa integr\u00f3 los dominios del Couto de Leomil y fue sede del municipio de Pera e Peva hasta 1834, a\u00f1o en que pas\u00f3 a integrar el municipio de Moimenta da Beira.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0ea084d villa.<\/p><p>Para apaciguar los \u00e1nimos, Soutosa, por encontrarse en el centro geogr\u00e1fico del referido territorio, fue elevada a sede del municipio. As\u00ed, estaban aqu\u00ed establecidos jueces ordinarios, concejales y los restantes oficiales municipales, as\u00ed como dos compa\u00f1\u00edas de ordenanza. Los s\u00edmbolos del poder local, como la Casa de la C\u00e1mara, la Casa de la C\u00e1rcel, la Casa de la Rueda y el Rollo, al dejar de tener funci\u00f3n, se fueron perdiendo con el tiempo.  <\/p><p>De la arquitectura religiosa y civil sobresalen la capilla de Nosso Senhor da Afli\u00e7\u00e3o; La casa se\u00f1orial, como muchos la llaman, tiene como objetivo promover la vida y obras literarias de Aquilino Gomes Ribeiro y preservar las memorias del escritor, valorizando los bienes culturales y la promoci\u00f3n de su obra con objetivos cient\u00edficos, educativos y l\u00fadicos.  <\/span><\/p><\/div><div><p class=\"Pa2\"><span class=\"A5\">Aquilino, naci\u00f3 en 1885 en la parroquia de Carregal, Sernancelhe, pero fue en Soutosa, municipio de Moimenta da Beira, donde el escritor pas\u00f3 parte de su infancia. No obstante, nunca dej\u00f3 atr\u00e1s la escritura, donde la palabra libertad era fundamental en todas sus novelas. De lenguaje provinciano y de cariz prosador del siglo XX, y a trav\u00e9s de una escritura original, Aquilino afirmaba con persistencia que \u201calcanza quien no cansa\u201d, una de las frases m\u00e1s conocidas del autor. La Casa Museo nos presenta cientos de objetos personales del escritor, como libros, postales y fotograf\u00edas. Sin olvidar el extenso jard\u00edn, la Biblioteca de Aquilino y la Casa del Aldeano.     <\/p><p>La FAR es el lugar ideal para conocer y comprender el mundo retratado por el maestro Aquilino, tal vez divagar y entender los porqu\u00e9s de su lucha y persistencia por la igualdad y la de Pinhel, y de haber sido capturado en Conten\u00e7as (Mangualde), Aquilino Ribeiro consigui\u00f3 huir de la prisi\u00f3n de Fontelo, y anduvo a pie por las sierras hasta Seg\u00f5es. Ya sin condiciones para proseguir camino, y con miedo de ser apresado, se escondi\u00f3 en este pe\u00f1asco durante 18 d\u00edas, siendo ayudado por la familia y por los lugare\u00f1os, que nunca lo denunciaron.
